On behalf of its 27 member organizations in 17 countries, the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations joins the rest of the global community in expressing outrage at the unwelcome presence of Russian Federation military troops on Ukrainian territory.

This act of aggression violates international law and poses a serious threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to peace and stability in the entire region. It deepens the crisis not only in Crimea and in Ukraine, but in all of Europe and the western world.

We fervently appeal to the world’s leaders for urgent support, to ensure that the Russian Federation remove its troops from Crimea immediately and without bloodshed.
